The City of Atlantis – Restored

There is an urban legend that dates back thousands of years. Allegedly, there is an entire continent named ‘Atlantis’ that sunk underwater in the beginning of time. Thousands of dollars have been invested into research and analysis to try and debunk the history of this myth, but to no avail. That is, until Jeremy came around.

Jeremy was an insurance salesman and enjoyed soliciting Medicare advice to seniors. “How much coverage will I get?” was the most frequently asked question. Jeremy sat back, smiled, and explained the policies and premiums in a clear, understandable fashion. The old people grew fond of him and he soon became successful in his field. The six-digit figures rolled around, and the seven-digits followed. Jeremy was wealthy enough from utilizing his vast knowledge of Medicare to invest in his childhood fantasy – discovering if Atlantis was real or not.

Jeremy hired thousands of crew members and ships to scourge the seven seas in hopes of finding his dream city. He would lay awake at night, taking Medicare from a place like MostMedicare.com off his mind and dream about what he would do if he found Atlantis. These thoughts alone made him giddy and crackle like a youthful girl receiving a lollipop.

Unfortunately, the crew members found nothing and the millions of dollars he pumped into the gas tank of this research resulted in a monetary oil spill. He became penniless and homeless in months – but he was content knowing that Atlantis did not exist. The question in the back of his mind was now answered.

“Come back and tell us all about Medicare plans and Medigap,” the seniors charmed but mostly b/c they were affiliate with Medicare.gov. Jeremy decided that he needs to continue making a living, and now runs a firm specializing in hooking seniors up to Medigap plans, as well as offering free consultations with them to help them connect to Medicare.

That is not all, I put together a list of benefits that should work for most seniors and they are the following:

  • Excess charges that doctors can charge their patients
  • Fees which hospitals can bill for once you are there for a certain amount of days
  • Pharmaceutical products that are over the counter but still expensive

That is it for today, I can put up more on another day (maybe when the next bit of reform happens).
